47th Corowa Swim-In and Military Vehicle Gathering

Australia's largest gathering of privately owned historic military vehicles, run every March at Corowa on the Murray. Owners drive in ex army trucks, jeeps, gun tractors and amphibious vehicles and run them over the week, including the traditional swim of amphibious vehicles in the river that gives the event its name. There is a large military swap meet, convoy runs and vehicle judging. The 2027 theme is the Year of the Utility. The hub is Ball Park Caravan Park. Many attendees arrive the weekend before, and organised trips to local towns run Wednesday to Friday. The Friday night guest speaker is Paul Dekmetzian on his restored International MK3, the truck featured in Billy Baird's Australian Army Truck and in the children's books he has written about his trucks. On Saturday 13 March there is a parade through Corowa finishing at the Corowa Showground, where the swap meet is held, with presentations that evening.
